We are excited to bring a talented and dynamic Lead Storyteller to our team, responsible for helping to oversee and manage key aspects of the City & State retail experience from general sales, product display, inventory management and assisting in the day-to-day operations. As the Lead Storyteller, you will play an important role in assisting with the seamless flow of inventory from vendor shipments to the store floor. This individual will also serve as a key example of City & State standards and values to the full team and will partner closely with the Store Manager and retail team on providing exemplary customer experiences, highlighting the unique collection of brands and makers, and meeting sales goals.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Customer Assistance: Greet customers, assess their needs, provide product information, and assist them in finding the items they are looking for. Offer personalized recommendations to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the store’s products, including features, benefits, and promotions. Stay updated on new arrivals and special offers to effectively inform customers.
  • Sales: Engage customers in conversations to identify additional needs and suggest complementary products or services. Strive to meet or exceed sales targets through effective selling techniques.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering and receiving, manage stockroom operations, and ensure that products are well-stocked and displayed correctly on the sales floor.
  • Store Display and Visual Merchandising: Design and implement attractive and effective visual displays that align with brand standards and promotional activities. Ensure that products are presented in a way that maximizes customer engagement and drives sales, regularly refreshing displays to keep the store visually appealing and in line with current trends.

Requirements:

  • 30-35 hours per week
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in retail and/or inventory management required.
  • Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and retail display.
  • Outgoing and energetic, with genuine passion for providing exemplary customer service.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
