While new to the roasting scene, Chrome Yellow has been operating for nearly a decade on Edgewood Avenue in Atlanta’s historic Old Fourth Ward. In the years since opening, this company, which began as a creative endeavor for a husband and wife, has evolved from a café and dry goods outpost to a full-scale, modern coffee company.

Why Chrome Yellow?
Chrome Yellow thinks of coffee first and foremost as a creative stimulant. Founded by artists and operated by artists, the company wants to see specialty coffee continue to encourage lively discussion, creative collaboration, and the cultural enrichment of our communities. They see the beautiful beverage itself as a positively creative, intensely laborious act from coffee farmers around the world.

How do their values line up to City & State’s values?
The Atlanta based company is committed to sustainability by working with many of the same producers year over year, thereby creating lasting relationships with their partners.

Chrome Yellow also takes a detailed approach to sourcing, roasting, and brewing to ensure that the producer's work is enjoyed in the best possible manner.

One of our favorite features is their approach to roasting fast and light on a Loring s7 — striking a delicate balance between clarity and sweetness with minimal imposition of roast.
