The co-founders of Chicago Comb, John and Tedd, have been friends since the 7th grade. They shared a desire to see local manufacturing become more common. Making products of a place, durable, and the antithesis of throw away products made cheaply and poorly. From those discussions, the idea for a beautiful, premium hair comb was born. There was nothing like it on the market. Indeed, metal combs, like a lot of other products, had disappeared from the market decades ago. Inspired by what we saw, we decided then to make the most amazing hair combs possible, combs that people LOVE. We believe that an everyday object, like a comb, should be an enduring work of sculpture and design that not only looks stunning, but helps people enjoy the daily ritual of grooming

From those early beginnings, we expanded our lineup to include the only American-made carbon fiber combs and leather sheaths (cases for combs) made of premium Horween leather (made at Chicago's famous Horween tannery since 1905). Everything we sell is made in America to the highest standards of quality. #loveyourcomb
