Erika Christine Ceramics is a one woman handmade business. Erika studied ceramics at the Kansas City Art Institute, and has been working with clay for 6 years. Erika currently focuses on making functional ware in her Columbus, Ohio studio. Erika employs multiple techniques in her making process including handbuilding, slip casting, and sculpting. Each piece is hand-painted with food safe ceramic materials- because of this no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Erika's body of work could be described as decorative “art objects,” but they are also fully functional and meant for daily use and enjoyment.
